Base Line

A select line of in-stock frames and fabrics where we participate in the manufacture of the seating. In the trade, this is called "married frames," where specific frames and specific fabrics are blended. There is no flexibility in choice to change fabric or frames within the Base Line. There are choices, but only as presented. The spring system is sinuous, the frames are hardwood, and the tailoring is top-of-the-line. Our Base Line seatings are well-identified in the presentation.

The fabric selection is 1,800 fabrics (the full selection) and the frame selection is vast and comprehensive. Sinuous Spring (S/S) is not a downgrade of seating comfort, but an option within the spectrum of seating. Some argue that sinuous is not as comfortable as Flexolator systems or 8-way hand-tied. Through our presentation, you will understand that seating is a "Goldilocks" of . "Goldilocks" meets your lifestyle demands–children, dogs, cats, etc. "Goldilocks" is where you find comfort.

"Flexolator spring system with down-wrapped seating cushioning is one approach to a different seating comfort. As with all lines. the tailoring is top-of-the-line, and there are 1,800 fabrics available.


                          Slipcover Selection

Flexolator and down-wrapped  cushioning; a comprehensive presentation of frames and washable fabric covers to meet your lifestyle.

The creation of a well-tailored frame involves upholstering the frame in muslin to allow a tight fit of the slipcover to the frame. This slipcover is tailored (not one-size-fits-all) to the specific frame. You are not restricted to the pre-washed fabrics; the slipcover can be cut in any of the 1,800 fabrics available. Beyond the pre-wash selections, which are machine washable, the other selections are dry-cleanable. It’s always your choice for your unique lifestyle.


                        Taylor King

The premier 8-way. hand-tied line, with a vast selection of transitional to traditional frames. All 1,800 fabrics are available. We link to the full presentation of the Taylor King Collection.

Too often, you find the seating (the frame) that fits you, but not the fabric design, color, or texture that fits your taste or preference. With us, you’ll never have that problem. ​

We offer a full floor of soft seating frames and a new design room where approximately 1,800 different fabrics are shown in a visual, uncomplicated presentation. We have our new upholstery floor where 30 frames are shown (sofa, chair, loveseat, apartment sofa, queen sleeper, apartment sleeper, chaise, etc.) with pricing for the frame only, as well as for the showings. We call this CHOICES. You select either the frame or the fabric. We are all about the fabric, comfort frames, and suiting your taste in our presentation (a combination of fabric and frame). ​

We price the two components separately, and the decision is yours, based upon your open CHOICES. At our locally-owned stores, you’ll find complete flexibility. ​

We have organized our offerings into very specific frames (Comfort Decisions). All 1,800 fabrics are available for all frames, with the exception of the Base Line.

                        Cozy and Casual

Cozy and Casual presents an 8-way, hand-tied spring system and fully-optioned sectional or modular seating systems. They are remarkable for flexibility in design possibilities.

Each system starts with basic seating and allows you to expand to the room size and to your lifestyle through sectionalization or modularization. 1,800 fabrics are available, and 8-way hand-tied gives different dimensions to "Goldilocks" seating. This offers yet another choice in seating comfort.


                        Leather

Leather is a major seating category for our company. We devote an entire store to showcase this particular selection. The leather selection is comprehensive and complete.

You can see the display at our 1532 St. Charles Avenue store (the corner of St. Charles Avenue and Terpsichore). Ample parking is in the rear of the corner store building. Terpsichore is a two-way street with easy access from St. Charles Avenue or Prytania Street. The proximity is approximately ¾ of one short block from the Prytania Street store.

Between the two stores, we have approximately 40,000 square feet of display and ample, easy parking is connected to each store for your convenience.

We do not manufacture our leather, per se. We purchase from major brand resources, and we participate fully in the selections. Choices gives you every frame within a given brand and selections in comprehensive color and type of leather.
