We offer a very unique ability to offer you choices in the furniture via stain choices or lacquer colors. Any item is not only available in one stain color (as you see it), but in every available stain as shown on the Wood Stain Board for that species in which that item or collection is manufactured. (For instance, if the item is manufactured in Northern Maple, there are fourteen stain choices available – Clear Finish to Light Colored Stains, and Medium to Dark colors.)
To your taste, to the room you are furnishing, to the home, etc., in Indiana Walnut, Western Idaho Pine, Northern Ash, Pennsylvania Cherry, Appalachian White Oak, or Mahogany, via the color board, we attempt to show you what a stain formula looks like as applied to the specific species. You will find that the stain color changes the look of a design to fit your taste. Color and hue are as personal to you as is music.
Lacquer Colors
There is a comprehensive color spectrum of base colors, to what we call fractured base colors. (Interesting hues emerge when the base color is fractured with a stain overlay.) Lacquer is a pigmented color, and the lacquer is formulated for us by Sherwin Williams; these same colors are available to you at any Sherwin Williams paint store. Note: When we list the base color name, we also list the Sherwin Williams formula number. In decorating your room, home, or office, you may utilize the same Sherwin Williams colors in latex or oil-base residential interior or exterior paints.
Upholstery and Leather
As unique as the wood program is, it carries forward in our soft (fabric) and leather programs. We think we have a better way to purchase seating (fabric or leather). (Insert Logo here) When you see this logo, you have the ability to select your frame and fabric.
We have over 1,800 different fabric selections. Any fabric selection can be applied to any frame designated Choices. The price per frame and per fabric will vary to each. While these Choices might seem to be overwhelming in volume, it is quite simple with the explanation put forward in the seating section of our website.
You will find this a very exciting and simple procedure to the purchasing of upholstery. Your selection can represent your taste, your room, your home, or your office.
Leather seating, while offering Choices, does have limitations as to interchangeability. Leather hides are specific, but we have expanded the choices

Our basic manufactured materials are U.S.A. made and sourced, and our wood species are all from the North American continent (with the exception of Mahogany, a Central to South American wood species.)
■ WE ARE a very efficient economic operation and, to explain in economic terms, we have what is known as a vertical integrated model. We perform the economic function from manufacturing, to selling and delivering to you. There are no third-party middlemen involved. (There are exceptions, and our product markings identify these third-party middlemen.)
Via our vertical model, we are able to sell our products for substantially less money.
WE CONTROL the design and quality of what we manufacture and sell to you for less. With the direct control of purchase of raw materials, the efficiency of full truckloads, and the economic efficiency of manufacturing and delivery to you, the customer, we can sell very high quality and functionally designed furniture and furnishings for less. Please compare our pricing via our quality delivered.
WE DO NOT build fictitious discounts into the pricing of our furniture, nor do we build the cost of interest for financing into our pricing. (We are not a credit furniture retailer.) We sell for cash, check, or by credit card, and avoid the hype of “no interest for a lifetime,” or “40 to 50 to 70% off.” Via our website, you may print out any item we sell. Compare our pricing – we sell for substantially less money.
WHEN WE SELL products to you, and whether we manufacture or purchase, we take full responsibility for the quality and performance of all products. If there is product non-performance, you look no further than to the warranty of Halpern’s Furnishings Store. This warranty also extends to the delivery fulfillment function to your home or business.
We contribute to the manufacture via fabric, assembly, or finishing. We do not manufacture the finished product, per se, but we contribute and control substantially. Our pricing reflects this input. Our warranties are in full effect. These products are manufactured entirely in the U.S.A.
We select the top maker in the field. All is U.S.A.-made, and we discount the pricing substantially. Our warranties are in full effect.
Brand name manufacture. There are aspects of furniture manufacture that we think can be effected by another resource.
